About
Anselm Reyle's works are about questioning the educated bourgeois consensus of taste. With abstract art, he addresses consumer society and consciously crosses the line between art and kitsch. For his works, which he creates with painting, sculpture, installation, he uses a variety of materials, including foils, car paint, civilization waste, construction and electrical waste. The exhibition features a selection of his strip paintings, created between 2003 and 2013. For this Reyle used acrylic paint, silver foil, dyed mirrors, structural pastes and varnishes in sometimes incongruous color combinations.
